Total Petrochemicals now delivers C4-LLDPE made in the Middle East to its European customers

Total Petrochemicals has started regular commercial sales of Butene Linear Low Density Polyethylene (C4-LLDPE) in Europe. Produced on the recently inaugurated Qatofin world-scale production line in Mesaieed-Qatar, the new C4-LLDPE product range consists of grades of various melt index (MI2 = 1 and 2 dg/min) with various additive packages.

Total Petrochemicals will hold strategic stocks of these Middle East produced polyethylene resins at its European logistic hubs. “That will allow guaranteeing our customers a continuous and consistent logistic service quality as with any other European product supplied by Total Petrochemicals” says Barbara Mandard, Marketing Manager Europe for Film and Fibers applications.

“The addition of C4-LLDPE ideally complements Total Petrochemicals’ European film product portfolio that already consists of Lumicene® metallocene PE, HDPE and MDPE, as well as LDPE and EVA. With such a broad product range, we can offer solutions for the most demanding film applications of our customers” says Barbara Mandard.

Next to blown and cast films, Total Petrochemicals will also sell the new C4-LLDPE in grass yarns and in the cable applications.
