Fibres and filaments are used for a broad range of final products from
monofilaments and multifilaments processes :
- primary and secondary carpet backing,
- residential and commercial carpets,
- floor coverings and tiles,
- automotive rugs and fabrics,
- artificial grass.
PP fibres are also used to produce non-woven fabrics (staple, spunbond
and meltblown) for :
- construction, geotextiles, agriculture, housewrap,
- home furniture,
- filter media, absorbent pads,
- automotive applications-door and trunk liners,
- industrial wipes,
- printing substrate,
Outside of these specific applications, many monofilaments and slit-film
products are manufactured from PP, such as :
- geotextiles, big bags, vegetable and produce bags, etc..
- ropes, twine,
- strapping,
- concrete reinforcement,
- brush bristles,
- netting
